Fortis International Management Traineeship

Every traineeship is unique
Fortis offers university graduates a traineeship of eighteen months. In the first six months you are offered various professional training courses and skill-building classes. You also get to know the different businesses and their activities. After the first six months, you decide whether you will broaden your horizons with the General Traineeship or deepen your knowledge by participating in one of the programmes in the businesses. The possibilities are endless! The trainee programme gives you the freedom to choose your projects, either cross-business or in the business of your choice. You are responsible for the success of your projects and for the details and progress of your traineeship. Because you have the opportunity to work on different projects, you not only get to know the Fortis organisation, you also gain insight into your own abilities and discover what challenges you the most. Merchant & Private Banking Associate Programme

The Merchant & Private Banking Associate Programme teaches you all about the specialist services of the Merchant & Private Banking business. You will be assigned to one of Merchant & Private Banking’s business activities, such as Global Markets, Corporate, Institutional & Public Banking, Specialised Financial Services, Investment Banking, Commercial Banking and Private Banking. You will receive on-the-job training in that specialisation, and that is where you will work after your training programme ends. However, during the fifteen-month programme, you will also get the chance to broaden your horizons and gain greater insight into the Merchant & Private Banking business. Besides on-the-job training, you will follow a varied package of professional and personal development courses, which will give you the opportunity to carry out a project abroad and to acquire work experience. Ultimately, the programme will provide you with specialist and general expertise plus an extensive network of contacts, since you will share much of your training with Fortis associates from other specialisations and countries.

Fortis Investments Associate Programme

The Fortis Investments Associate Programme is an international three-year programme designed for people who wish to pursue a career in asset management.
Our Global Investment Training Academy will take 8 international graduates each year and put them through an intense and challenging international training program that will last three years. Following this each trainee successfully completing the program will be placed into a key role as part of the investment team in a selected Investment Centre from which they will continue their rapid career development for as long as they can display the performance and potential required to progress in the business.
